Tamper & weather resistant grounded duplex receptacle meets the 2008 NEC requirement. Built with UV (ultra violet) stabilized engineered thermoplastic for high cold impact-resistance. Features stainless steel straps and mounting screws. Shutter mechanism inside the receptacle blocks access to the contacts unless a 2-prong plug is inserted, helping ensure hairpins, keys, and other similar items will be locked out. Quickwire push-in or side wired terminals. 15 amps/125 volts. NEMA (National Electrical Manufacturer's Association) 5-15R. UL (Underwriter's Laboratories) listed and CSA (Canadian Standards Association) certified for tamper-resistant devices. Meets UL 498 requirements for weather-resistant receptacles.
