Each level requires four beams, with double rivet beams used on the top and bottom levels of all units and single rivet beams on all intermediate levels. Capacity can be increased by using double rivet beams on all levels. A sample unit includes a heavy-duty, 5-shelf 48" x 24" configuration with 6-48" and 6-24" single rivet beams, 4 uprights, and 4-48" and 4-24" double rivet beams. For an extra heavy-duty configuration, a 5-shelf, 48" x 24" unit includes 4 uprights and 10-48" and 10-24" double rivet beams. Beams can also function as ledges at any required height to prevent merchandise from falling or rolling off shelves. The actual beam length is 59.25".
