The industrial gantry crane is designed for portability and flexibility, surpassing the capability of permanent cranes. It features an I-beam mounting plate design that allows for quick set-up and is constructed from heavy-duty steel with a chip-resistant enamel finish, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use in warehouses or machine shops. The crane includes four 8" phenolic wheel 4-position swivel lock casters to facilitate easy movement between work areas. Its height can be adjusted in 6" increments using a forklift or optional lever ratchets, enabling single-person adjustment. Height is measured from the underside of the I-beam to the floor. It is important to note that the crane is intended solely for lifting loads, and all gantries must be inspected frequently to ensure safe operation. Final testing and inspection are the responsibility of the end user after the final assembly is completed, following the guidelines outlined in ASME B30.17.
