The 55-gallon drum and barrel heater from BSC Preferred features a state-of-the-art heating system that outperforms traditional band heaters by uniformly distributing heat across the entire surface of the drum. This drum heater encases the entire drum in a heating blanket, ensuring efficient insulation and heat distribution. Operating at 800 watts for quick warm-up, it automatically reduces to 400 watts to maintain the desired temperature. The heater is water-resistant, making it suitable for both poly and steel drums. It includes a fixed preset internal thermostat that limits the maximum temperature of the contents to approximately 100 °F (5 °F / 3 °C), thereby preventing overheating and preserving temperature-sensitive materials. This unit is ETL certified to UL & CSA safety standards and is designed for easy installation, delivering safe, uniform heat while preventing product waste by maintaining consistent temperatures.
