Each level requires four beams, with double rivet beams used on the top and bottom levels of all units and single rivet beams on all intermediate levels; capacity can be increased by using double rivet beams on all levels. The beams can serve as ledges at any required height to prevent merchandise from falling or rolling off shelves. The nominal size is 24 inches, with an actual size of 23 inches, and these beams are designed for use with SC Preferred boltless shelving only.
