Tekstak™ by Datum is designed to provide secure storage for laptops, cell phones, and personal valuables, making it suitable for libraries, schools, government facilities, corporations, and other institutions. The kit includes a unit configured with 5 storage compartments, accommodating various device types such as iPads, Chromebooks, laptops, tablets, e-readers, and cell phones. The bay opening dimensions measure 4" H x 15-3/8" W, while the inside dimensions of each bay are 4" H x 16-3/4" W x 20-7/8" D. Each compartment features 2 AC outlets for simultaneous charging of a laptop and other electronics. Constructed from heavy-duty steel with a powder-coated finish, the unit includes ventilation patterns to prevent overheating and 90-degree door hinges to ensure compartment accessibility. Security options consist of a key lock for each compartment, with a master key available for all compartments, and a 1-1/8" thick laminate top for additional workspace. The unit ships fully assembled and is made in the USA. It comes with a lifetime warranty on parts and a 3-year warranty on electrical components. Additional space should be considered for power adapters, power cords, and protruding power plugs. The unit is available in a selection of standard colors for powder coat paint and laminate top, and custom color options can be requested via customer service prior to placing an order.
