Eagle's 40-gallon, self-closing paint and ink safety cabinet is constructed of 18-gauge (1 mm) steel with reinforced double-wall construction, featuring a 1-1/2 in (3.8 cm) air space on the sides, top, bottom, back, and doors. The cabinet includes two 2 in (5.1 cm) threaded fittings vents with fire baffle and cap, a high-gloss, lead-free, baked-on powder coat finish, and red trilingual warning labels. It has continuous piano hinges, a ground connection, four adjustable galvanized leveling legs, a 2 in (5.1 cm) raised leakproof sill, and patented adjustable galvanized steel shelves that direct spills to the back and bottom of the leakproof sump while supporting a uniform distributed load (UDL) of 350 lbs (158.8 kg). The internal and external welding construction enhances durability, and the cabinet features a flush-mounted door handle with key lock, a three-point stainless steel bullet latching system, self-latching doors that self-close with a 135° opening, and a concealed self-close mechanism that provides obstruction-free access to the top shelf. The self-indexing doors ensure sequential closing for a tight closure from top to bottom. The shelves are adjustable on 3 in (7.6 cm) centers, supported by four brackets. Cabinets are FM-approved and meet NFPA Code 30 and OSHA requirements. Internal dimensions measure 39.5" W x 14.562" D x 39.5" H.
