The Mitutoyo 500-196-30 Absolute Digimatic 6" digital caliper is designed for precise measurement of objects within certain limits, featuring a large and clear LCD readout and carbide-tipped jaw type calipers. It offers up to 20,000 hours of battery life under normal conditions and includes a zero/abs key that allows the display to be zero-set at any slider position along the scale for incremental comparison measurements, as well as a return to the Absolute (ABS) coordinate for displaying the true position from the origin point, typically the jaws-closed point. With hardened stainless steel construction, the caliper supports 4-way measurement options—OD, ID, depth, and step—ensuring years of reliable use. It comes with a fitted plastic case for convenient storage and transport and is backed by a 1-year limited warranty.
