The JET JWDS-1836 drum sander, equipped with a 1.75 horsepower motor, is engineered for a variety of woodworking tasks, featuring a tool-less parallelism system for easy adjustments. It includes a variable-speed option to select the ideal feed rate for different projects, complemented by the SandSmart feature, which continuously monitors the load on the drum motor to avoid overload. The dust hood is designed with a mirrored shape that enhances dust collection through a 4" collection port, preventing debris from interfering with your work. The precision-machined and dynamically balanced extruded aluminum drum helps dissipate heat and protects the work surface, while the precision-flattened reinforced steel conveyor bed ensures stability. The redesigned conveyor system efficiently pulls the workpiece through the sander, and the drum height can be adjusted by 1/16" with a handwheel, which also features a relative depth scale for easy measurement. The kit includes the JET JWDS-1836 drum sander and the 608003 stand.
