The Jet JWL-1840EVS is an 18" x 40" wood lathe designed for versatility and user comfort in woodworking applications. It features a sliding headstock that pivots 360 degrees with seven positive locking positions, allowing for various setups. The lathe includes four-inch cast iron risers that enable height adjustment for optimal working comfort. The extended spindle nose houses dual headstock spindle bearings, and the improved tailstock quill locking mechanism incorporates an anti-rotation key. The tailstock is equipped with Acme threads for smooth and durable movement, while the banjo employs a non-marring, positive locking wedge system to securely hold the tool post.
