The Powermatic PM2020 short bed lathe, 2HP, 1 or 3PH, 220V, is designed for woodworking enthusiasts and features a compact footprint ideal for turners with limited space or projects requiring a short bed. This lathe includes a sliding headstock, electronic variable speed control with low and high-speed ranges, and a spindle lock. Enhanced attributes feature a digital RPM readout for precise speed adjustments, built-in spindle indexing on the headstock for creating hole patterns and routing flutes, and a redesigned tailstock equipped with internal storage, ergonomic chrome trimmed handwheels, and a self-ejecting laser etched quill. The kit also comes with a two-position mount for an optional bed extension, a sliding hammer knockout rod with a brass tip to prevent damage to drive centers, an attached tool caddy for convenient access to accessories, and a metal shelf for additional tool storage.
