The Maple Safety Edge Bench Top is constructed from solid maple strips glued together and electronically cured. The top is kiln dried, sanded smooth, and finished with a penetrating oil protectant. It features a rounded front safety edge designed to protect workers from leaning against sharp edges. To maintain the surface, the tops must be oiled on all surfaces every 1 to 2 weeks depending on use or conditions. Recommended work surface cleaning includes mild household cleaners such as soap and water solutions, Windex, and Lysol, while aggressive chemicals like ammonia and solvents should be avoided as they may cause permanent damage to the finish. All dimensions are typical with a general tolerance of ±1/8", and width, depth, and/or thickness may vary slightly. When purchasing multiple units, an exact match in wood grain or color shade cannot be guaranteed.
