Hazardous material (HAZMAT) storage buildings feature a 12 drum sump capacity as standard and are specifically designed for the outdoor storage of 55-gallon drums containing flammable or combustible liquids. Constructed with double-walled galvannealed steel, these buildings incorporate 3 inches of insulated air space for added strength and safety. They have been tested for tornado resistance, capable of withstanding F-4 tornado force winds of 250 mph. The outer wall comprises all-welded 16 or 12 gauge steel, while the inner wall is made from 20 gauge steel. The storage building includes a 12 gauge welded steel, liquid-tight sump, removable galvanized steel grating, and safety floor planking. Convection vents are strategically located throughout the structure, with optional 22 gauge explosion relief panels protected by expanded steel. The base is equipped with 12 gauge galvanized steel forklift channels for ease of transport. NFR warning labels, ratings, and instructions are part of the package. The building is finished in chemical, corrosion, and UV resistant paint, meeting NFPA Code 30 and complying with OSHA and EPA regulations. It is FM and UL approved and comes with a 15-year limited warranty.
