The Maple Safety Edge Bench Top is constructed from solid maple strips that are glued together and electronically cured. The top is kiln dried, sanded smooth, and finished with a penetrating oil protectant. It features a rounded front safety edge to protect workers from leaning against sharp edges. The bench tops must be oiled on all surfaces every 1-2 weeks depending on use or conditions for proper upkeep. For cleaning the work surface, mild household cleaners such as soap and water solutions, Windex, and Lysol are recommended, while aggressive chemicals like ammonia and solvents should be avoided as they can cause permanent damage to the finish. All dimensions are typical with a general tolerance of +/- 1/8". Width, depth, and/or thickness may vary slightly, and exact matches in wood grain or color shade cannot be guaranteed when buying multiple units.
