Rails prevent forklift and personnel mishaps and are made of corrosion resistant, 10 gauge galvanized steel measuring 12 inches high by 3-3/8 inches wide, including visibility stripes. The kit requires 2 mounting posts and mounting hardware, which are sold separately (Global #652823 or #652824) and are constructed of 10 gauge galvanized steel. The rails have a crash rating of 4,000 lbs. at 4 mph. Posts options include spring posts that flex to absorb impact and are available in 18 inches or 42 inches height, mounting rails permanently or allowing rails to be uninstalled as needed (for use with straight rails only), and double rail posts that hold 2 rails for added vertical protection. The crash rating is applicable when the railing is properly anchored, noting that floor thickness or conditions may cause post failure (bolt pullout) before rail failure.
