The Wesco® Standard Handle Liftkar® HD series powered stair climbing appliance truck is a battery-powered hand truck designed for safer and faster deliveries on stairs, reducing the force needed to move loads up and down both indoor and outdoor stairs and lowering the risk of back injuries and workers' compensation claims. It features an innovative edge-of-step braking system that automatically applies brakes when the wheels reach the edge of a step to prevent accidental rolling and can be shut off for level ground use. The powered truck offers continuous climb mode or single step mode for operator control, twin control buttons for left or right hand operation, and two climbing speeds of 6 or 10 steps per minute. The quick-change 24-volt sealed maintenance-free battery pack and remote charger provide a full charge performance supporting loads of 725 lbs for 120 steps, 550 lbs for 190 steps, and 440 lbs for 220 steps. The lightweight dual-rail aluminum frame and 21" wide by 7" deep extruded aluminum noseplate are built for durability, and ergonomically designed handles with non-slip rubber coating ensure maximum comfort. A safety cargo strap is included, and the foam-filled 10" puncture-proof wheels are suited for rough surfaces such as gravel or cobblestone.
