The Wesco® Folding Handle Liftkar® HD Series is a battery-powered stair climbing hand truck designed to provide safer and faster deliveries on stairs by reducing the force needed to move loads up and down indoor or outdoor stairs, thereby decreasing the risk of back injuries and workers' compensation claims. It features an innovative edge-of-step braking system that automatically applies brakes when the wheels are at the edge of a step to help prevent loss of load control caused by accidental rolling down stairs, with the brake system able to be shut off for use on level ground. The powered truck offers continuous climb mode or single step mode for operator control, a twin control button system for left or right hand operation, and two climbing speeds of 6 steps or 10 steps per minute. It includes a quick-change 24-volt sealed maintenance-free battery pack and remote charger, providing full-charge performance allowing the truck to carry 725 lbs for 120 steps, 550 lbs for 190 steps, and 440 lbs for 220 steps. Constructed with a lightweight dual-rail aluminum frame and a 21"W x 7"D extruded aluminum noseplate, the truck is built for years of service. Ergonomically designed handles have a non-slip rubber coating for maximum comfort, and a safety cargo strap is included. The foam-filled 10" puncture-proof wheels are ideal for rough surfaces such as gravel or cobblestone. The folding handle’s upper handle angle is adjustable for user convenience.
