Mill drills are a lighter alternative to a milling machine, combining a belt-driven drill press with the dual coordinate capabilities of a milling machine's table for flexibility and efficiency. This kit includes a milling/drilling machine with features such as a one-piece cast iron column for added support, a belt cover, a quick slide latch for faster belt adjustments to change spindle speeds, and a base taper for easier clean-up. It is equipped with larger hand wheel knobs, a UL listed motor, an extra large worktable, and heavy-duty tapered roller bearings that support the spindle, resulting in greater tolerance and more accurate drilling depth. The machine also features a new positive quick-stop knob, an easy-to-read internal depth gauge (external on JMD-15), and a 360° head swivel. Additionally, the heavy-duty power downfeed with manual fine feed (JMD-18PFN) offers three power down feeds (.004, .007, .01). Included are a worklamp, an adjustable carbide facemill, a drill press angle vise, a 1/2 drill chuck with a chuck arbor, and a draw bar.
