The RIB® dry contact input relay RIB02BDC is an enclosed unit designed for use with 208-277VAC at a capacity of 20A and features a Single Pole Double Throw (SPDT) configuration. This relay can be activated by an array of dry contacts, including thermostats, switches, other relays, and solid-state switches. It provides the low-voltage (Class 2) power necessary to activate the relay, functioning as a self-powered device that is triggered simply by closing the dry-contact input. The necessary power to energize the relay can either be delivered via a separate pair of wires alongside the control output from the controller or sourced locally near the relay. The relay contacts themselves are isolated from both the input power and dry contact input, allowing them to switch various power or low-voltage loads, as detailed in the specifications for contact ratings.
