The RIB® Dry Contact Input Relay RIB01SBCDC is an enclosed device rated for 120VAC, with a maximum capacity of 20A and a Single Pole Double Throw (SPDT) configuration, featuring an override capability. This relay is designed to be activated by a variety of dry contact inputs, including thermostats, switches, other relays, and solid-state switches. It provides the necessary low-voltage (Class 2) power for self-activation by simply closing the dry-contact input. The power to energize the relay can be supplied via a separate pair of wires alongside the control output or from a local power source adjacent to the relay. The contacts are electrically isolated from both the input power and the dry contact input, allowing for the switching of other power loads or low-voltage loads, with specific contact ratings provided in the specifications. This model can cater to multiple installations, as the model RIB21CDC can operate within a voltage range of 120VAC to 277VAC; additional specifications for input power on other models are available.
