The Dry Contact Input RIB series offers the advantages of the standard RIB line with the ability to be activated by a wide range of dry contacts such as thermostats, switches, other relays, and solid-state switches. This series provides low-voltage (Class 2) power needed to activate the relay in a self-powered manner by simply closing the dry-contact input. Power to energize the relay can be supplied via a separate pair of wires along with the control output of the controller, or from a local power source near the relay. The relay contacts are isolated from the input power and the dry contact input, allowing them to be wired to switch any other power load or low-voltage load, with contact ratings specified in the documentation. Notably, the Model RIB21CDC can operate from any voltage within the range of 120VAC to 277VAC, with specifications for input power varying across other models.
