The Dry Contact Input RIB series integrates the features of the standard RIB line with the added versatility of activation through a variety of dry contacts, including thermostats, switches, other relays, and solid-state switches. This self-powered relay requires low-voltage (Class 2) power to operate, which is activated by simply closing the dry-contact input. The necessary power to energize the relay can be supplied via a separate pair of wires alongside the controller's control output or from a local power source near the relay. The relay contacts are designed to be isolated from the input power and dry contact input, allowing them to switch other power loads or low-voltage loads, with contact ratings specified in the product specifications. One adaptable model, the RIB21CDC, accommodates a voltage range from 120VAC to 277VAC, with other models having differing input power specifications.
