The DeWalt 7" angle grinder model DWE4517 features a high power 4 HP (maximum motor HP) motor delivering 8,500 RPM with overload protection for higher operating speeds under load. It includes an epoxy-coated field and armature for long service life against abrasion from airborne debris, and a low profile gearcase designed for work in tight areas. The tool is equipped with automatic turn-off brushes that shut down the grinder when brushes need replacement to prevent damage. A 2-position side handle allows improved ergonomics for specific applications, while the 8,500 RPM is optimized for material removal with 9" grinding wheels. It also has a brush window for quick brush replacement. The grinder measures 19.3" in length.
