The drill press features a modern design with the operator in mind, including a locking handle hub with convenient dial-in adjustment and an easy-to-read scale for fast, accurate, and repeatable depth setting changes. The CE safety electrical package is equipped with a push button on/off switch, emergency stop button, low voltage controls, thermal overload protection, and an interlock safety switch for the belt cover. It incorporates a large diameter sturdy spindle with four bearing points for smooth operation, while the massive cast head, machined column, and sturdy cast base effectively reduce vibration. Both bench and floor models are designed with machined table and base surfaces that feature T-slots for mounting and fixturing. Quick bit changes are facilitated by a standard Morse Taper (MT), along with common adaptors or a standard keyed chuck. Additionally, the quick release belt tensioning allows for fast and easy speed changes, and the handle features three spokes with spring return for precise operator control and ergonomic operation. The kit includes a keyless chuck, a Plexiglas chip and chuck guard, and a drift for bit removal.
