The TI-30XS MultiView calculator features a four-line, 16-character display that enables users to enter more than one calculation simultaneously, allowing for comparison of results and exploration of patterns on the same screen. It supports entry and viewing of calculations in common math notation through the MathPrint mode, which includes symbolic π, stacked fractions, exponents, and exact square roots. The calculator is equipped with a toggle key for viewing fractions and decimals in alternate forms and has easy-to-read pull-down menus that resemble those of a graphing calculator. All mode settings can be accessed from a central location on the mode screen, and it displays scientific notation with properly superscripted exponents. Additionally, the table feature allows for exploration of (x, y) values for a given function, either automatically or by entering specific x values. The device is capable of displaying multiple calculations and answers in the format users would typically write, along with functionality to scroll, review, and edit current or previous entries. The calculator is powered by both solar and battery sources and comes with a protective cover.
