The kit is designed for rapid indexing in both vertical and horizontal positions using 5-C collets, featuring a 2-1/4" - 8 threaded spindle nose compatible with lathe chucks. The system allows for instant opening and closing of collets via a lever that offers a leverage ratio of 100 to 1. Additionally, the rapid rotation of the spindle nose is facilitated by a ratchet device located on the front of the spindle. The package includes a 24-hole index plate that accommodates 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, and 24 divisions, or 15-degree spacing, and comes supplied with screws for masking unused holes.
