Steel window kits are designed for use on Type 4 and 12 enclosures, while stainless steel window kits are compatible with Type 4, 4X, 12, and 13 enclosures for both indoor and outdoor applications where corrosion is a concern. These kits facilitate easy installation by requiring a cutout in the enclosure, followed by the attachment of the window and frame. The frames are constructed from heavy-gauge steel with an ANSI 61 gray polyester powder finish over pretreated surfaces or from heavy-gauge Type 304 stainless steel with a brushed finish. The window measures .25 in. (6 mm) in thickness, utilizing acrylic for steel kits and polycarbonate material for stainless steel kits. Additionally, oil-resistant gasketing ensures a watertight seal around the perimeter of the window and frame, and all necessary mounting hardware is included.
