Steel window kits are designed for use with Type 4 and Type 12 enclosures, while stainless steel window kits are suitable for Type 4, 4X, 12, and 13 enclosures in both indoor and outdoor applications where corrosion is a concern. Installation is straightforward, requiring a cutout in the enclosure to attach the window and frame. The frames are constructed from heavy-gauge steel with an ANSI 61 gray polyester powder finish applied over pretreated surfaces, or from heavy-gauge Type 304 stainless steel featuring a brushed finish. The windows are made of .25-in. (6-mm) acrylic for steel kits or .25-in. (6-mm) polycarbonate material for stainless steel kits. Oil-resistant gasketing provides a water-tight seal around the perimeter of the window and frame, and all necessary mounting hardware is included.
