Steel window kits are designed for use on Type 4 and 12 enclosures, while stainless steel window kits are suitable for Type 4, 4X, 12, and 13 enclosures in both indoor and outdoor applications, particularly in environments where corrosion is a concern. These kits facilitate easy installation by requiring a cutout in the enclosure, followed by the attachment of the window and frame. The frames are constructed from heavy-gauge steel finished with an ANSI 61 gray polyester powder coating over pretreated surfaces, or from heavy-gauge Type 304 stainless steel with a brushed finish. The windows are made from .25 in. (6 mm) acrylic for steel kits or .25 in. (6 mm) polycarbonate for stainless steel kits. The kits include oil-resistant gasketing to ensure a water-tight seal around the perimeter of the window and frame, and all necessary mounting hardware is provided. Custom sizes, materials, and finishes are available on special order, and consultation with the factory is recommended for further information.
