The Hoffman CDSC423812 Concept™ Disc. is a Type 12 enclosure made of steel in a gray finish, measuring 42.00 x 38.00 x 12.00 inches. This enclosure is designed for applications requiring a stylized design and a preferred cutout for disconnect switches or circuit breakers. It accepts major brand disconnect switches and circuit breakers and is supplied with a Hoffman-integrated tool-to-open handle. The enclosure features a door interlock bracket welded to the door, a door latching system (available in 2-point or 3-point), and includes instructions for locating and installing disconnect devices. It comes with a hardware kit that comprises a padlocking door handle, panel mounting nuts, grounding hardware, and sealing washers. Constructed from 16 or 14 gauge steel, the seams are continuously welded and ground smooth. It has an external-formed 90-degree body flange, bonding provisions on the door, and a grounding stud on the body. The design includes holes for mounting disconnect operating handles and mechanisms, panel mounting studs for optional Concept panels and accessories, and mounting holes in the back for direct or external mounting. The hidden hinges offer a clean aesthetic appearance, while removable corner-formed doors provide easy access. There are provisions for an optional high-impact thermoplastic data pocket, a seamless foam-in-place gasket, and a door alignment device for wider doors. The latching system interlocks with the disconnect handle for added safety, featuring a unique integrated door handle with a tool-to-open feature and padlocking option. The self-grounding latch system includes a double seal, with four hinges on 60-inch-high doors and easy-to-remove hinge pins equipped with a built-in captivation clip. High-torque threadless studs and fasteners are used on the door, and an illustrated instruction sheet is included.
