The Hoffman CDSC483812 Concept™ Disconnector Enclosure is a Type 12 enclosure constructed from durable steel with a gray finish, measuring 48.00 x 38.00 x 12.00 inches. This enclosure is designed for applications requiring a stylized design and a dedicated cutout for disconnect switches or circuit breakers, accommodating major brands. It includes a Hoffman-integrated tool-to-open handle and is furnished with enclosures. Key features include a door interlock bracket welded to the door, a two or three-point door latching system, installation instructions for the disconnect, and a hardware kit containing a padlocking door handle, panel mounting nuts, grounding hardware, and sealing washers for mounting holes. The enclosure is made from 16 or 14 gauge steel, with continuously welded seams that are ground smooth, external-formed 90-degree body flanges, and a bonding provision on the door along with a grounding stud on the body. Additional features include holes for the mounting disconnect operating handle, compatibility with optional Concept panels and accessories, mounting holes for direct or external mounting, hidden hinges for an aesthetic appearance, removable corner-formed doors, provisions for an optional high-impact thermoplastic data pocket, and a seamless foam-in-place gasket. The door alignment device is included for doors wider than 30 inches, while the latching system interlocks with the disconnect handle for added safety. The integrated door handle features tool-to-open capability and a padlocking option, and the self-grounding latch system includes a double seal for enhanced protection.
