The Hoffman CDSC423212 is a Concept™ disc type 12 enclosure, measuring 42.00 x 32.00 x 12.00 inches, constructed from steel with a gray finish. This enclosure is designed for applications that require a stylized design and a preferred cutout for disconnect switches or circuit breakers, accommodating major brand disconnect switches and circuit breakers. It includes a Hoffman-integrated tool-to-open handle and is furnished with enclosures. Key features include a door interlock bracket welded to the door, a latching system installed on the door (available in 2-point or 3-point configurations), instructions for locating and installing disconnects, and a hardware kit that consists of a padlocking door handle, panel mounting nuts, grounding hardware, and sealing washers for mounting holes. The enclosure is made from 16 or 14 gauge steel, with seams that are continuously welded and ground smooth. It features an external-formed 90-degree body flange, bonding provision on the door, and a grounding stud on the body. There are holes in the body for mounting the disconnect operating handle and mechanism, with panel mounting studs that fit optional Concept panels and accessories. Additional mounting holes are included in the back for direct or optional external mounting brackets. The design includes hidden hinges for a clean appearance, removable corner-formed doors, and provisions for a high-impact thermoplastic data pocket. A seamless foam-in-place gasket and door alignment device are included for doors wider than 30 inches. The latching system interlocks with the disconnect handle for safety, while the unique integrated door handle features a tool-to-open capability and a padlocking option. The enclosure also features a self-grounding latch system with double seals, four hinges on 60-inch-high doors, and simple, easy-to-remove hinge pins with built-in captivations clips. High-torque threadless studs and fasteners are used on the door, and an illustrated instruction sheet is provided.
