The Scimatco 18x2.5 liter (corrosive) and 16x1 gal. (flammable) under-the-counter combo acid/flammable cabinet measures 35" W x 22" D x 35-1/2" H and is constructed of 1" multi-ply exterior-grade plywood. This "combo" cabinet integrates the safety features of both acid and flammables cabinets, effectively providing two separate cabinets in one design. It is intended for placement under laboratory casework or as a stand-alone unit, with the cabinet floor designed as a 2" liquid tight trough. The cabinet is equipped with an internal metal lock on the flammable side and a plastic hasp and padlock on the corrosive side, allowing for secure storage. Additionally, it is designed to support standard laboratory fume hoods (not supplied with work surface) and is constructed to meet or exceed all applicable NFPA and OSHA standards. The self-closing door models comply with Uniform Fire Code standards specifically for the flammable door. Scimatco has determined that several states, including AK, AZ, CA, CO, HI, ID, MT, NV, NM, OR, UT, WA, and WY, require self-closing doors for flammable cabinets according to the UFC, thus it is recommended to check local regulations prior to ordering.
