The Yost ADI-6 is a 6" Austempered Ductile Iron vise designed for professional use, featuring a robust 360° swivel base. Constructed from 130,000 PSI tensile strength Austempered Ductile Iron (ASTM A897; 900-650-9, Grade 900), it provides at least 45% greater strength than the Yost FSV (Forged Steel) vise series. The ADI series is made from continuous cast, precision machined components, in contrast to the forged and welded FSV series. This vise includes replaceable hardened steel serrated machinist and pipe jaws, a large anvil work surface, and adjustable hardened guide rails that ensure smooth and precise operation. Additionally, the zinc plated handle and lockdowns enhance corrosion resistance, while the interlocking (geared) 360 swivel base features two lockdowns for a secure grip. The ADI base comes with three mounting holes for versatile installation. Dimensions and specifications are optimized for durability and performance, making it an essential tool for any workshop.
