The JET® SSC Series Electric Chain Hoist, with a capacity of 5 tons and a lift height of 20 ft, operates on a 3 phase, 230V/460V electrical supply, making it suitable for both commercial and industrial applications. This model features a slip clutch overload protection mechanism to prevent lifting loads beyond its rated capacity, while the thermal overload protection in single phase models ensures overheating is avoided. The three phase configuration includes a reverse phase relay to guard against incorrect wiring. Safety is further enhanced by an industry-proven DC electro-magnetic brake, which secures the load during power interruptions, and limit switches that prevent over-travel of the load chain. Designed for durability, the maintenance-free gear train is housed in a sealed oil bath, and the hoist is equipped with a grade 80 black oxide coated load chain for enhanced strength. Additionally, it includes a 24-volt push button control pendant for ease of operation. The JET® SSC Series is available in capacities ranging from 1/2 ton to 5 tons with standard lifts of 10, 15, and 20 feet, along with options for custom lift heights.
