The Oz Lifting manual chain hoist features a standard overload protection with a capacity of 1-1/2 tons and a lift height of 10 feet. This premium chain hoist is available in capacities ranging from 0.5 tons to 30 tons, with 50 tons available by special order, and standard lifts of 10 and 20 feet are kept in stock. The hoists are custom rigged, rigged, and tested in the U.S.A. The standard overload protection is factory set and integral to the hoist, preventing overload conditions and halting operation when activated; the operator must lower or release the load and consult a lifting specialist for alternative solutions. The unique hand wheel design allows the hand chain to feed seamlessly into the wheel sprocket from various angles, enhancing usability without jamming. Additionally, these hoists require 20% - 35% less effort to lift loads compared to competitors, making them ideal for frequent lifting and pulling applications. The fully enclosed gearing protects against contamination, while the all-steel construction ensures durability and longevity. The forged alloy steel hooks come with cast steel safety latches that utilize a bolt and lock nut connection for easy field replacement. A thrust bearing on the lower hook enables easy load rotation and prevents chain twisting, and the electro zinc-plated hand and load chain enhance corrosion resistance.
