Oz Lifting Socket Base for Composite Davit Crane features a 1200 lbs. capacity and includes a 1/4" wire rope with a full drum length of 50'. Constructed from advanced composite materials, the boom/extension and mast are lightweight, approximately 40% lighter than steel, and corrosion resistant. The metal components are mil-spec zinc plated, ensuring durability. Key features include an external handle for rotating the crane under load, a 4-position boom, and a ratchet screw jack that adjusts the boom under load, providing an infinite range of lift. The crane allows for 360-degree rotation on a sleeve bearing and requires no tools for installation. It comes standard with a DIN-rated hand winch that features a load-holding weatherproof Weston brake, and the hand winch can accept two different cable termination points: a swaged ball fitting or bare end cable. A quick connect winch handle with a power drill adapter is included. Pedestal or socket bases are sold separately and come with a mounting template. The boom/mast connection utilizes smart latch technology. Unlike traditional all-metal davit cranes, which weigh around 150 lbs (for 1,000 lbs capacity models), the Composite Davit Crane's use of fiber-reinforced composite materials reduces its weight to about half, making it truly portable. It can be disassembled in seconds without any tools and reassembled quickly by one person, enhancing its versatility for transportation between sites or for elevated installations.
