The Hoffman A48H3612SSLP3PT enclosure features a continuous hinge with a 3-point latch and is designed for type 4X applications, with dimensions of 48.00 x 36.00 x 12.00 inches. Constructed from 12 gauge type 304 stainless steel, the seams are continuously welded and ground smooth, and the enclosure has no holes or knockouts. Stiffeners are welded to the back to maintain flatness and increase rigidity, while heavy-duty lifting eyes, made of type 316 stainless steel, enhance durability. The enclosure includes a plated steel 3-point latching system with a keylocking handle and latch rods equipped with rollers for easier door closing. Each door is supported by heavy-gauge continuous hinges, and a data pocket made of high-impact thermoplastic is provided on the door(s) featuring the 3-point latches. Additionally, mounting channels are welded horizontally to the interior body sides at the top, bottom, and center, allowing optional panels and rack-mounting angles to be mounted anywhere along these channels. The enclosure is designed with an oil-resistant door gasket attached using oil-resistant adhesive, secured with steel retaining strips. It also includes bonding provisions on the door, grounding studs on the body, and an accessory mounting channel provided in the enclosure top. The enclosure is suitable for a variety of applications, including machine tools for housing motor starters, drives, contactors, and PLCs, and is commonly used in industries such as automotive, pulp and paper, wood products, and textiles.
