The Hoffman Watershed™ enclosures are specifically designed for use in sanitary washdown production environments, such as food and beverage manufacturing. Constructed from 14 gauge type 304 stainless steel, these enclosures feature continuously welded seams that are ground smooth. They include smooth lift-off bullet-style hinges that are shielded by the door, with provisions on the hinged side to allow direct flushing of the hinge area. The 20-degree sloped top facilitates the runoff of water and cleaning solutions while preventing the placement of objects on the top of the enclosure. The door opens to a 170-degree angle and has sloped edges at both the top and bottom to enhance runoff. Additionally, a slanted flange trough collar is designed to prohibit pooling of fluids along the top edge of the enclosure opening. The enclosures are equipped with stainless steel quarter-turn latches with flush slotted inserts, a seamless foam-in-place gasket, a self-grounding latch system with double seal, bonding provisions on the door, and a grounding stud on the body. The panel studs accommodate optional NEMA style panels, and mounting options include holes in the back for direct mounting or the use of an optional stand-off kit or mounting bracket kit. A furnished hardware kit includes panel mounting nuts, grounding hardware, and sealing washers for the wall-mounting holes.
