The Silverline was developed as a lower-priced alternative to the Goldline while maintaining a high level of quality, rated as a 9 out of 10 compared to the Goldline's 10. The Silverline has been designed to outperform and outlast Diebold undercounter models and has quickly grown to account for over 50% of Fenco's undercounter sales. The only difference between the Silverline and Goldline is the exterior shell construction specifications and width, with the Silverline's shell being consistently 1" wider. The exterior shell of the Silverline is made from 20 gauge steel, while the Goldline uses 18 gauge steel. The construction process involves folding and bending the corners for a clean finish, followed by thorough spot welding of the corners, in contrast to the Goldline's TIG welded cabinet shell for a smooth and durable finish. Despite the difference in welding techniques, all materials and parts inside the shells, including the separating shelf, slides, drawers, doors, and locks, are identical for both models. Both the Goldline and Silverline feature an all welded, all steel construction, devoid of pop rivets and plastic drawer bodies.
