The Extech 445815 Big Digit Humidity Alert with remote probe and adjustable sensitivity is designed for monitoring environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, and dew point in laboratories, storage areas, manufacturing assembly areas, and other controlled environments. It features a user-settable alarm that provides both audible and visual warnings when adverse conditions occur, helping to prevent issues caused by high humidity that can foster mold growth or low humidity that can generate static electricity. The meter also displays the dew point, calculated from temperature and humidity, to determine when condensation may form. Equipped with a remote probe that can clip onto the meter or extend on an 18-inch cable, it allows measurements behind walls, in ducts, or other hard-to-reach locations. The large digit LCD screen enables simultaneous display of humidity, temperature, and dew point readings. The package includes a built-in stand, a mounting bracket, and two AAA batteries.
