Extech Controllers incorporate fuzzy logic enhanced PID and a soft-start feature designed to protect heaters from cold starts, making them suitable for demanding applications while minimizing over-shoot, unwanted process fluctuations, and drift. The soft-start feature is particularly beneficial for processes in the thermo-plastics industry, where precise and gradual heating is essential. The controllers are compatible with thermocouple and RTD inputs and include a single-stage ramp and soak program with RPMs-to-setpoint limit, which can be integrated with the soft-start feature to meet critical process demands. The kit includes mounting bracket hardware and screw terminals for straightforward wiring, and is also available with a 4 to 20 mA output (model 48VFL13).
