The 6-flute Chatterless Countersinks developed by Severance Tool are engineered with staggered cutting angles to eliminate the harmonics that lead to chatter commonly found in conventional tools. These countersinks feature a positive shearing action and are capable of taking heavy cuts while producing exceptionally smooth seats. The design incorporates six flutes, which enables a long service life by distributing the cutting load over six cutting edges. They are versatile and can be utilized in a variety of machines, including milling machines, drill presses, screw machines, lathes, automatics, special machines, feed units, and hand tools.
