The Tripp Lite USB 3.0 Superspeed Active Extension Repeater Cable (A M/F), with a length of 5m (16 ft.), is designed as a bus powered extension cable that enables users to extend the length of a device cable while mitigating signal loss and performance issues. This active extension cable allows for an extension distance of up to 33 ft. (10 m.) when two cables are connected together, as USB specifications limit standard cable lengths to 16 ft. An integrated signal booster ensures reliable connectivity over longer distances. The cable must be directly connected to a USB port on either a PC or a hub, and can be paired with standard 6', 10', or 15' USB 3.0 A-B cables to achieve the desired reach. The U330-05M provides up to 770 mA of power to connected devices; however, if a device requires more than this amount, an external power supply will be necessary.
