The 3M™ Microfinishing Film 5mil Type E Belt 472L measures 2" x 60" and features a 15 micron grit silicon carbide abrasive, designed for fast cutting to achieve a precise, uniform, close-tolerance finish. It is constructed with a high-strength polyester film backing resin-bonded for durability. This abrasive belt is suitable for metal, plastic, paint spot repair, automotive power train components, and roll superfinishing applications. It is primarily used in powertrain microfinishing and superfinishing processes, serving industries such as aerospace, AOEM, composite, general industrial, primary metal, and transportation & heavy equipment.
