The 3M™ 341D cloth band measures 1/2" in diameter and 1" in width, featuring a 36 grit aluminum oxide composition (SKU: 60440200495). It is primarily utilized in the metal fabrication industry, with applications that include blending corners, contour finishing, deburring internal diameters, grinding, and polishing both metal and non-metal surfaces. This abrasive cloth band is designed as a spiral band or short tube that adapts to inner and outer contours, providing effective sanding and shaping capabilities. The fast-cutting aluminum oxide abrasive grains are resin-bonded to a durable cloth backing, delivering a continuous cut and long-lasting performance. The band is suitable for grinding applications to remove parting lines, seams, imperfections, and burrs, as well as for shaping and smoothing wood and fiberglass. It fits onto rubber wheel attachments, such as cushion polishing wheels or rubber slotted expander wheels (both sold separately), for use with die grinders or rotary drills. Constructed with aluminum oxide mineral, this product is known for its fast cut-rate, durability, and extensive life span. It is compatible with a wide variety of materials, including ferrous alloys, and is the most commonly used industrial abrasive.
