The 3M™ Lapping Film 461X measures 8-1/2" x 11" and features silicon carbide mineral coated on a 3 mil polyester film. It is available in 5.0, 9.0, 15.0, and 30.0 micron grades, serving as the standard product for silicon carbide polishing applications in the fiber optic and metallurgical industries. The film is designed for fiber optic connector polishing, flat lapping, and superfinishing applications, with use also seen in the automotive industry.
