3M™ Lapping Film 863X measures 6" x 6" and features a 0.2 micron silicon dioxide abrasive, a silica mineral coated on a 3 mil backing designed for the final step in polishing fiber optic ceramic connectors. This standard life product is compatible with many different brands of polishing machines and is used for the final polish of fiber optic connectors and flat lapping applications, primarily within the electronics industry.
