The 3M™ Lapping Film 863XW measures 6" x 6" and features a silicon dioxide coating with 0.2 micron grit size, applied on a 3 mil backing. It is designed for the final step in polishing fiber optic ceramic connectors, suitable for use on many different brands of polishing machines. This standard life product is preferred for slower machines or manual processing. Its applications include the final polishing of fiber optic connectors and flat lapping, primarily serving the electronics industry.
