Product Details
This 60 amp solar charge controller is designed to optimize power from your solar array using MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) technology, ensuring maximum available power from the PV array to the battery bank by utilizing the peak power of the I-V curve. The controller features three charging stages for safe and efficient battery charging, and it is infinitely stackable, enabling users to add multiple controllers as needed for larger systems. Key features include a quality heatsink for cooling without fans, a battery type selector with user-defined charging voltage, four-stage charging, a battery temperature sensor, PV input, battery output, and DC load control ports. It boasts reliable electronics with over-engineered components for reduced heat generation, achieving an efficiency of up to 99% and low self-consumption. The controller is also designed for extreme conditions, featuring optimal cooling case design, over-temperature protection, and protections against overload, short circuit, high and low voltage. It includes an RS485 port for computer monitoring (not available on the 30 amp model) and is compliant with CE, ETL to UL1471, and RoHS standards. The unit is conformal coated for marine environments and comes with mounting holes. In terms of specifications, the PV operating voltage ranges from 15-155VDC at 12V, 34-155VDC at 24V, 50-155VDC at 36V, and 60-155VDC at 48V, with rated PV inputs of 12V-800 watts, 24V-1700 watts, 36V-2400 watts, and 48V-3400 watts. The maximum battery current is 60 amps, with a maximum PV open circuit voltage of 155VDC and self power consumption of less than 4 watts. It supports various battery types such as gel, sealed, AGM, flooded, and lithium, with adjustable voltage options, and features a four-stage charging system that includes bulk, absorption, float, and equalization.
